My research focuses on the development of novel compressive testing methods for composites, understanding the failure mechanisms of composites in compression and improving the compressive behaviour of composite materials.

Novel hybrid composites

Low- and HIGH-VELOCITY impact of composites

My research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of composite materials under low and high-velocity impact loadings, and the interaction between delamination, matrix cracking and fibre failure. I am also interested in developing novel material systems and configurations to improve impact performances.
