Public engagement

I was an invited speaker at the soapbox science festival in 2019. I am a co-organiser of the festival on the 15th of July, 2023. Details can be found at Soap Box Science Festival  

A YouTube channel that was co-founded by my colleagues and myself - to bring the general audience an introduction to composite materials. More videos can be found at Composites Hub 

I have regularly attended international conferences on composites materials, e.g. ICCM, ECCM, and CompTest. 

I have been invited to join a team of women in STEM subjects in this video, and this is a part of the celebration of International Women's day 2023 and Jisc's Digifest23. 

This was a part of The FUTURE - a festival of discovery. In the photo, Prof Richard Trask and I were showing some of the composites demonstrators to Professor Evelyn Welch, the vice-chancellor of the University of Bristol. 

This is a part of the UK's annual largest celebration of the natural world. My colleagues from the NextComp group and I have showcased research and innovation on nature-inspired composites to our local community.

I am a co-chair of the STEM-BAME group at the University of Bristol and also a member of the EDI group at the EPSRC CimComp. Creating an inclusive and diverse working and learning environment is the key for everyone to reach their potential strength and flourish in work and study.
